API 16C Flexible Choke & Kill Hose is a critical component of surface and subsea choke and kill systems in drilling operations,an essential part of blowout prevention (BOP) equipment.

It is designed for the following key functions:

• Pumping kill fluids into the wellbore when normal circulation through the drill string is not possible;

• Applying backpressure to the formation when formation fluids flowing into the wellbore potentially cause a influx or kick .

• Safe transfer of sour and aggressive fluids.

Hose Structure:

• Liner: H₂S resistant polymer and specialized synthetic rubber, smooth bore

• Breaker layers: High tensile textile plies

• Reinforcement: high strength steel cables

• Fire-resistance layers: glass fiber fabric layer for flame resistance and thermal insulation

• Outer Cover: Neoprene-based synthetic rubber, flame retardant, resistance to abrasion, oil , ozone/UV ageing, and marine environment

• End fitting：compliant to NACE MR 0175/ISO 15156 

Optional element:

• Electrical heat-tracing cable for operation in low-temperatures

• External armor/protection: stainless steel strip-wound , or polyethylene spiral guard, or other alternatives may be available upon request
